A little late, but still works.

Hello beautiful white uniform! :D

Hi!

It's January and I'm back in Iloilo. I've missed this blog! (Right, that sounded rather corny but k.)

So I've actually forgotten that I had something whipped up for my blog for the new year. (Note that I wrote this when I was in Minnesota for the holidays, so don't get confused.) Well now here it is, freshly imported from my iPad notes. It has a certain theme to it that makes it still work very much up until the end of the year, so it's alright. :)

I know I'm still very much a weirdo this 2012, I wonder why. Wait, I don't wonder. Whoop!

Happy new day!
~Ella

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So here we are again, the turn of the year.

I haven't exactly been thinking much about the new year. I've been fussing more about how I really don't want to fly back to the Philippines just yet (two weeks is way too short!) How I am proud to have been Timberwolves fan even before my darling Ricky Rubio came and got Minnesota's attention back to basketball. And wondering how it would have been if I didn't go back to Philippines at all.

See how engrossed I got there?

New Year's eve is really just like any other evening. (Scientifically correct bro, you know it.) We are simply greeted by another day. It just happens that the calendar says that we've already eaten up 2012 years after the birth of our Saviour.

"New beginnings." "Brand new life." "Going to be a better person." "Fresh hope." -- Really? There is nothing wrong about them, and they're actually splendid but how many times have you heard these phrases already for the past few days, or hours?

If only we treated every midnight like it was New Years Eve (fireworks and excessive food and drinks and countdown optional), I think the world would be a much better place.

I'm guilty of such procrastinating behavior, but as I sweep through 2011, I see that there were times (thankfully) when I did get the opportunity of making decisions to do something new or make something right without having to wait for a new year to come rolling around.

I (most definitely) need to be more consistent, but I tell you it works wonders.

Happy New Year everyone! May your 2012 be full of newness all throughout the 366 days included in it. An overflowing newness filled and guided by the Holy Spirit, that you may never stray along the way.

Blessings and joy!

Love,
Angela

PS. Okay okay I didn't forget my 2011 list

- Graduated from college! (And I spent the ceremony -- sleeping! I was in the other side of the world. :/)

- Spent the Philippine summer home in MN (Which was a rather snowy spring there)

- Attended IGNITE 2011 with Lifebox Bacolod. Prayed for my Alma Mater and my present school. :)

-Turned le 22!

- Got accepted to one of the best medical schools in the Philippines (Haha biased, but do go check out WVSU-COM's track record. It's pretty amazing.) So out of that, I've lived independently for the first time. I relearned Tagalog, got fluent in Bisaya/Cebuano (yay!)

- Got rooted in my spiritual home in my home away from home way from home, Victory Iloilo! Plus, graduated from Training for Victory with the awesomest batch ever. :D (I didn't finish ENLI before since we moved to the US. Finally!)

- Adjusted relationships (everything is how it ought to be); character melted and re-formed rather painfully. Pride got hit bullseye and it's bleeding to death. Thrived off living with an allowance (I did it!!)

- Attended two weddings! Loooove. :)

-Spent the holidays in MN. First brown Christmas everr! (Woohoo! Twice home in 2011!)

- Made a gajillion friends who could really last a lifetime and beyond to the next. As for my old authentic friendships and relationships, they have been made even stronger.

(There are a whole lot more photos to post but I don't have the luxury of time. I guess these should suffice.)

Those 365 days - WIN
Thank You Lord! In Jesus Name amen!
